Structured review workflows

How review stages, assigned reviewers, and change history work in CSR Foundry.

Review in CSR Foundry isn't a PDF markup exchange. Every estimate moves through defined review stages with assigned reviewers, threaded comments, and a full change history.

The review model

Each project has a configurable set of review stages — the default covers internal technical review, cost review, and final sign-off, but teams can add or remove stages to match their process.

At each stage:

  • Reviewers are assigned explicitly. The estimate cannot advance to the next stage without their action.
  • Comments thread against the specific line items or folders they apply to. No more "see page 47" in a separate document.
  • Changes requested by reviewers are tracked against the version that's being reviewed. Acceptance and resolution are recorded.

Change history

Every edit to every line item is versioned. You can compare any two versions of the estimate side-by-side, or roll back to any prior state without losing work.

What's coming

Detailed guides on configuring review stages, reviewer roles, and the change-history interface are in progress and will appear here as they're completed.
